    Audience Approaches in Reflexive Digital Media Narratives: An Example of a ”Supporting Actor" Digital Platform Series

    In order to re-evaluate the rigid systems created by modernist thought by focusing on the human mind and science, the thoughtful approaches that emerge from modernism and offer a critical view of it manifest themselves in the fields of social sciences, art and philosophy. It has been investigated how the concept of reflexivity, which has a very wide usage area, is used in 'media narratives and digitalised media', which is the field of study. Based on the ways of using reflexivity in cinema narratives, the digital platform series 'Supporting Actor' was selected as a digital reflexive media content that uses the narrative in cinema and how it uses reflexivity was examined. This study explores how reflexivity is used in media narratives and how audiences respond to these narratives. In-depth interviews were conducted with 32 participants and analysed by classifying them according to their age, gender and educational status. MAXQDA qualitative data analysis software was used in the analysis phase of the research. As a result of the research, it was determined that the series, which is a reflexive media narrative, encourages the audience to think about similar issues in the real world and helps them develop awareness of the issues discussed. Although the viewers do not know what reflexive methods are in media narratives, it has been observed that the audience can be made to think about the issues described through the elements that differentiate the narrative
