    A Bibliometric Analysis of Air Cargo: Milestones, Trends, and Future Directions

    Air cargo facilitates access to geographically challenging markets with minimal environmental impact. Despite global pandemics, crises, and wars, air cargo transport remains essential for people, even with decreasing demand. This study aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis in the air cargo sector. In this context, this study aims to define the milestones in the history of air cargo transport, the latest highlights and trends, and provide guidance for future research. The analysis period spans from 1956 to 2024. For this purpose, data from the Scopus database was analyzed using VOSviewer software. A tottal of 108 articles were examined through co-citation analysis, revealing the formation of three clusters: Cluster 1 focused on Revenue Management, Cluster 2 on Network, and Cluster 3 on Capacity. Additionally, 215 articles were analyzed to identify the 10 most and least preferred author keywords. The study highlights the authors who will contribute to air cargo research. Most studies in the air cargo field were conducted in 2022, while most articles were published in 2009. The most studied countries include the United States (126), China (69), and Taiwan (57). Researchers are provided with practical implications regarding air cargo operations, management, cost reduction, innovation, technology, safety, and security.

    A Bibliometric Analysis of Simulation Studies in the Field of Container Logistics Using VOSviewer

    Productive and uninterrupted operation of ports and their provision of value-added services to customers have become necessities brought about by competition. A performance measurement tool is needed in ports to ensure that the service ports provide is uninterrupted and productive. Four basic logistics processes occur in container terminals: ship operations, transportation, storage, and handling of containers in the port area. Thus, this study aims to develop a logistics-oriented decision support model that will function as a decision support tool for port management to help in understanding, analyzing, and evaluating a port’s logistics structure and port performance indicators for planning port capacity, increasing port productivity, improving intra-port logistics processes, and predicting a port’s future needs. This study offers an extensive analysis of the literature on simulating the processes in container terminals using the bibliometric analysis method. The study preforms an in-depth analysis of 51 studies in the Scopus database. The study also performs co-citation and author-keyword analyses on the obtained data with the help of the software program VOSviewer. The study concludes by presenting authors some recommendations based on the analyzed studies.

    Çanakkale-Balıkesir Çıkışlı Çok Modlu Lojistik Faaliyetlerinde 1915 Çanakkale Köprüsünün Rolü

    Bu çalışmada, Çanakkale-Balıkesir çıkışlı çok modlu lojistik faaliyetlerinde 1915 Çanakkale Köprüsü’nün rolünün ortaya koyulması amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda nitel araştırma yönteminin benimsendiği çalışmada, Köprü’nün paydaşı olarak belirlenen kişi, kurum ve kuruluşlar ile yüz yüze görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yapılan analizler neticesinde 1915 Çanakkale Köprüsü bölgenin lojistik, sosyo-kültürel, ekonomik ve sanayi gelişimine önemli katkılar sağlayacağı belirlenmiştir.

    Çanakkale-Balıkesir çıkışlı çok modlu lojistik faaliyetlerinde 1915 Çanakkale Köprüsünün rolü

    İnsanın dünyaya gelmesiyle başlayan ve günümüzde hayatımızı etkileyen en önemli alanların başında lojistik gelmektedir. Lojistik sektörü hayatımızı bu denli etkilerken ülkemizde yapılan en önemli yatırımlardan birisi 1915 Çanakkale Köprüsü'dür. 1915 Çanakkale Köprüsünün makro düzeyde ülke geneline mikro düzeyde ise Çanakkale Bölgesine katkılarının olacağı öngörülmektedir. Bu doğrultuda "Çanakkale-Balıkesir Çıkışlı Çok Modlu Lojistik Faaliyetlerinde 1915 Çanakkale Köprüsü Projesinin Rolü Nedir?" sorusu araştırma problemi olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırma problemi kapsamında Çanakkale ve Balıkesir bölgelerinin hem lojistik faaliyetlerinde hem de sosyo-kültürel, ekonomik ve turizm faaliyetlerinde; bölgede bilgi ve tecrübeleriyle kendilerini kanıtlamış kişiler ile birlikte araştırma problemine cevap aranmıştır. Görüşmelerin yapıldığı sürelerde görüşmeleri kabul eden on sekiz (18) kişi ile görüşülmüştür. Görüşme yapılan kişiler, belediye başkanları, oda ve borsa başkanları, akademisyenler, devlet kurumu yetkilileri, lojistik firma sahipleri ve çalışanlarından oluşmaktadır. Araştırma deseni, örnek olay araştırması şeklinde tasarlanmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği ile araştırma verileri toplanmıştır. Elde edilen verilen anlamlı bilgiler haline gelebilmesi için MAXQDA Analytics Pro 2020 (Release 20.2.2) programı kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir.

    Deciding the Criteria for Software Selection: A Bibliometric Review

    With the increase in global competition, there has been an increase in research on how to increase business efficiency and profitability. One area of focus is how businesses choose which software to use. A successful software implementation starts with choosing the right product to meet the organization’s specific needs; besides the time, effort, and cost of implementation, poorly chosen software can reduce an organization’s market share. However, choosing the right product can be extremely time consuming and daunting. In this study, literature was reviewed using the dimension.ai database, and bibliometric analysis was performed using VOSviewer software. Based on the analysis, the analyzed articles were clustered into groups. The most studied countries in this field were Turkey, the USA, and India. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was the most frequently used method for evaluating software selection criteria. In addition, Fuzzy and Hybrid methods, which are frequently used in recent years, are also among the methods used. The study also lists the most frequently used criteria, identifies the shortcomings of the studies, and presents new criteria for the current needs of enterprises. Finally, recommendations for future studies and the industry are provided. The findings of this study will both help the marketing and sales teams of software product companies to develop key points and enable end-user organizations to make informed decisions when choosing software packages.

    Review on Sustainable Development Goals in maritime transportation: current research trends, applications, and future research opportunities

    United Nations (UN) introduced Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to create comprehensive agenda for achieving economic, social, and environmental sustainability in the world. In 2015, the UN released 17 SDGs specifying 169 targets to achieve this important aim. It is vital to adapt these goals to provide a livable environment for the next generations. One of the most important stakeholders in contributing to global sustainability is the maritime industry. This article aimed to connect each of the reviewed papers to the SDGs while also presenting a comprehensive view of SDGs in maritime transportation. Therefore, this paper has novelty to reveal the gaps related to the goals achievement of sustainable development. This study, it was conducted a comprehensive literature review of 67 peer-reviewed studies in the Scopus database regarding the achievement of SDGs in maritime transportation. With this direction, four separate clusters were created by utilizing the VOSviewer software program with a bibliographic coupling method. From this point of view, it was identified scholars' most recent intentions, applications, and suggestions in the existing literature. Finally, gaps in the current literature revealed, potential theoretical and practical implications suggested, and recommendations to researchers for further studies were given to make contributions for achieving SDGs.

    SANAL KAYTARMA DAVRANIŞININ GRUP ÇATIŞMASI VE YARATICI DAVRANIŞ ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ: ÖĞRETMENLER ÜZERİNDE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

    Bu çalışmanın amacı, örgütlerde sanal kaytarma davranışının, grup çatışması ve yaratıcı davranışlar üzerindeki etkisinin incelemektedir. Literatürdeki çalışmalarda işgörenler tarafından algılanan sanal kaytarma davranışının bireysel ve örgütsel açıdan birçok olumsuz sonucu olduğu ileri sürülmektedir. Bu doğrultuda sanal kaytarma davranışının grup çatışması ve yaratıcı davranışlara olan etkisi incelenmektedir. Araştırma kapsamında Çanakkale ili Biga ilçesinde Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı 27 ilk, orta ve lise okullarında görev yapan 231 idareci ve öğretmenlerden anket tekniği ile veriler toplanmıştır. Analizlerde SPSS 24 programları kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler faktör analizleri, korelasyon analizi, regresyon analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre; sanal kaytarma davranışının, grup çatışması ve yaratıcı davranışlar üzerinde etkisinin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırma bulguları, eğitim kurumlarında görev yapan öğretmenlerdeki sanal kaytarma davranışının, grup çatışması üzerinde olumlu ve anlamlı yönde etkisinin olduğunu göstermektedir. Ayrıca sanal kaytarma davranışının, yaratıcı davranışlar üzerinde olumsuz ve anlamlı bir etkiye sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir.
