    The Validity and Reliability Study of the Turkish Adaptation of the Achievement Emotions Questionnaire-Middle School

    The purpose of this study was to adaptation of the Achievement Emotions Questionnaire- Middle School Turkish form. This instrument is used to determine the achievement emotions of the students towards the mathematics. Explatory and confirmatory factor analysis within the scope of validity studies and test-retest and Cronbach alpha reliability coefficients were calculated within the scope of reliability studies. Reliability coefficients for the sub-scales, boredom, enjoyment, and anxiety sub-dimensions were calculated as .94, .91 and .92, respectively. The adapted instrument has preserved the same structure in its original form. The index values gathered from the confirmatory factor analysis revealed that the structure emerging from the exploratory factor analysis showed a good level of fit. The adapted scale consists of 28 items and is in 5-point Likert type. These results show that the Turkish version of the Achievement Emotions Questionnaire-Middle School is valid and reliable
