Öğe Generalization of perfectly continuous, regular set-connected and clopen functions(Springer, 2005) Ekici, ENoiri in 1984, Dontchev, Ganster and Reilly in recent years and Reilly and Vamanamurthy in 1983 introduced the notion of perfectly continuous, regular set-connected and clopen functions, respectively. The aim of this paper is to introduce the notion of a new class of functions which is called almost clopen functions including the classes of perfectly continuous, regular set-connected and clopen functions. Furthermore, properties of almost clopen functions are obtained and relationships among almost clopenness, perfect continuity, regular set-connectedness, clopenness and almost continuity are investigated.Öğe More on ?-compact fuzzy topological spaces(Pergamon-Elsevier Science Ltd, 2006) Ekici, ERecently, El-Naschie has shown that the notion of fuzzy topology may be relevant to quantum particle physics in connection with string theory and epsilon(infinity) theory. In 2005, Caldas and Jafari have introduced theta-compact fuzzy topological spaces. The purpose of this paper is to investigate further properties of theta-compact fuzzy topological spaces. Moreover, the notion of theta-closed fuzzy topological spaces is introduced and properties of it are obtained. (c) 2005 Elsevier Ltd. Properties and basic relationships among fuzzy upper s-limit set, fuzzy lower s-limit set, fuzzy semi-continuity are investigated. Possible applications to quantum physics and computer graphics are touched upon. We speculate that s-convergence and s-properties may be relavant to the physics of fractal and cantorian spacetime.
