P. apodus harbored one species of cestoda (Mesocestoides sp. Tetrathyridia), one species of digenea (Telorchis assula), four species of nematoda (Entomelas ophisauri, Oswaldocruzia filiformis, Parapharyngodon skrjabini, and Neoxysomatium brevicaudatum) and one species of Acanthocephala (Centrorhynchus sp).
