    ÖZET Bu çalışmanın birinci bölümünde; tezin amacı, literatür özeti, kullanılan notasyonlar ve konvensiyon verilmiştir, ikinci bölümde, Lie türevi ve Lie cebri hakkında bazı temel bilgiler açıklanmış ve daha sonra konformal hareketlerin tanımı, özellikleri ve bazı fiziksel uygulamaları incelenmiştir. Son bölümde, Bianchi tip I uzay-zaman için konformal hareketler çalışılmıştır. SUMMARY In the first chapter of this study, aim of the thesis, summary of the literatur, the notations and convention that are used have been given. In the second chapter, some fundamental knowledge about the Lie derivative and the Lie algebra have been explained, and then the defination, properties and some physical applications of conformal motions have been examined. In the latter chapter, conformal motions of the Bianchi type I space-time have been studied. 21
