ANALYSIS OF SOME PERFORMANCE PARAMETERS OF FENCER ACCORDING TO GENDER AND AGE
(Univ Ljubljana, Fac Sport, 2019) Sahin, Gulsah; Koc, Hurmuz; Baydemir, Baris; Abanoz, Hasan; Coskun, Ali; Gunar, Bilgetekin Burak
The aim of this research was to examine the differences in agility, flexibility, aerobic capacity, vertical jump and vertical anaerobic power according to age and sex in children and young fencers. 76 children and young fencing athletes from 9-17 years (girl:30 and boy:46) who camped in Dardanos campus of Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University participated in the research. The measurements and tests were conducted by the Sports Science and Athlete Health Research and Application Center. Length and weight measurements, BMI calculation, T-test for agility, Yo-Yo IR1 test and shuttle running test for aerobic capacity, maxVO(2) calculation equations, vertical jump test, anaerobic vertical power calculation, sit and reach test for flexibility were used in the study. ANOVA to determine the difference between age groups, t test for gender comparison was used. The level of significance was accepted as p < 0,05. As a result of the research, maxVO(2), elasticity, vertical jump and anaerobic vertical power parameters were found significant different between age groups (p<0,05). Accordingly, it was found that the flexibility of girls was significantly higher than boys (p<0,05). However, there was no found significant difference between girls and boys in VO(2)max, vertical jump, anaerobic vertical power and T test parameters (p>0,05). Vertical jump distance, vertical power, maxVO(2), and agility are similar in boys and girls. Flexibility in girls is better than boys. Differences in performance can be seen among age groups.

Investigation of the Foot Arch Postures of Sport Sciences Students According to Some Variables
    (Nevzat Demirci, 2023) Abanoz, Hasan
Purpose: In this study, it was aimed to investigate the foot arch structures of undergraduate students of sports sciences faculty according to some demographic characteristics. Method: A total of 159 volunteer participants, 34 females and 125 males aged 18-34 years, were included in the study. General information form and podoscope imaging device for foot images were used as data collection tools. Foot images were analysed according to Staheli's Arc Index. The plantar arch index status of the participants was analysed according to gender, department, sporting status, sporting age and post-training pain variables. Cross-tabulation and Fisher's exact chi-square test were used to determine the distributions between the plantar arch index categories according to the variables. Kruskal-Wallis test was used for comparisons between groups according to arch categories and Mann-Whitney-U tests were used to determine the source of the difference. Results: According to the plantar index scores, 53.5% of the participants had normal, 25.8% flexible, 6.3% rigid flat, and 15.5% high arches. While there was no difference in the variables of gender, height, body weight and BMI in terms of foot arch index scores (p>0.05), significant differences were detected in sports status, pain status and pain scores (p<0.05). Conclusion: As a result, the incidence of flexible arches was higher in active athletes, while high arches were more common in recreational athletes. In terms of post-training pain scores, it was determined that participants with flexible arch soles felt higher pain than participants with normal and rigid flat soles. © The Author(s) 2023.

MULTIVARIATE ANALYSIS OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS BURNOUT AND JOB SATISFACTION LEVELS (Kirsehir Province Example)
(Drustvo Pedagoga Tjelesne & Zdravstvene Kulture, 2019) Ciris, Vahit; Baskonus, Turan; Samar, Ezgi; Beyleroglu, Malik; Abanoz, Hasan
In this study, it is aimed to examine Burnout Levels and Job Satisfaction Levels of Physical Education Teachers. Screening model was used in the study. The study group consists Physical Education Teachers who work in Kirsehir Province. The personal information form prepared by the researchers, the Maslach Burnout Scale and the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale were applied to the participants. Examination of burnout levels and job satisfaction levels of participants were evaluated in terms of occupational year, marital status, extracurricular exercise / training status, place of duty and average number of students taking the classes. The level of job satisfaction of physical education teachers is generally at a level of satisfied. However, when the sub-dimensions of the scale are examined, it is seen that the intrinsic satisfaction is at the level of satisfied, while the extrinsic satisfaction is at the level of the indecisive. When the independent variables considered to be effective on job satisfaction level were examined, no significant differences were found. It is seen that there is a negative intermediate relation between the job satisfaction and burnout levels of PE teachers. When the sub-dimensions forming the Maslach Burnout Inventory and the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale were examined, it is seen that the highest relations are between negative and moderate emotional exhaustion, personal accomplishment and desensitization dimensions and intrinsic satisfaction and emotional exhaustion with extrinsic satisfaction.
