Öğe Biosensor Studies For The Diagnosis Of Pancreas Cancer In Early Stages(Afyon Kocatepe Üniversitesi, 2023) Özbek, Zikriye; Gür, NurşahPancreatic cancer is a type of cancer with a poor prognosis and high mortality rate. Pancreatic cancer, which is an aggressive type of cancer, is very difficult to detect early and is usually diagnosed in later stages. The 5-year survival rate in diagnosed patients is 6% on average. Therefore, early detection of pancreatic cancer has an important role in increasing the survival rate and reducing mortality rates as a result of early intervention. Imaging techniques such as biopsy, ultrasound, and magnetic resonance are used as traditional methods in the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, but these techniques are expensive, take a lot of time and need to be performed and analyzed by experts in the field in order to obtain accurate and precise results. For this reason, biosensors, which are more accessible, inexpensive, can be used by everyone, and have a high probability of giving accurate results, have been suggested to be used in the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. For this purpose, the cross-linking techniques using glutaraldehyde medium containing gelatin and PB and cholesterol oxidase (COX) enzyme was immobilized on the surface of the screen-printed electrode. SPE / PB / COX was observed that the electrodes are suitable for the determination of cholesterol and optimization study was performed using the enzyme electrodes. SPE / PB / COX enzyme optimum amount of gelatin to the electrodes, glutaraldehyde ratio of concentration, buffer type, buffer concentration, respectively, in phosphate buffer; 0.002 g, 0.5%, 0.02 M, 0.05 M; pH was set at 7.5. The enzyme electrode linear operating range for cholesterol, 2 × 10-6-2 × 10-5 M, observed ability to limit 2 × 10-6 M, response time of 50 h and shelf-life was found to be about a month. LB thin films obtained by transferring organic molecules floating on the water surface to the solid surface were produced in an unsymmetrical structure. Steric acid and eicosylamine molecules were selected to fabricate unsymmetrical LB film structure. This structure was used to investigate the pyroelectric and electrical (C-f and C-tan δ) measurements. The pyroelectric figure of merit (FOM) was determined using pyroelectric constant, the dielectric constant value and dielectric loss. The value of FOM for the stearic acid/eicosylamine LB film was determined as 0.530 Cm-2K-1
