Özkan Mert'in şiirleri üzerine tematik bir inceleme

Abstract

Özkan Mert, 60 Kuşağı toplumcu gerçekçi akıma bağlı şairlerdendir. Döneminin en önemli şairlerinden biridir. İlk şiirlerinde İkinci Yeni şiirinin etkisi vardır. Daha sonra yayımlanan şiirlerinde toplumcu gerçekçi şiir anlayışının etkisi görülür. Sürgünlük dönemiyle birlikte şiirlerinde nehir şiir anlayışı etkili olur. Özkan Mert tarafından kendi şiir anlayışına nehir şiir adı verilmiştir. Nehir şiir; bir nehir gibi akan, uğradığı her yerden bir şeyler alan, bir şeyler bırakan bir şiirdir. Toplumcu gerçekçi şiir anlayışının evrilmiş hâli olarak gördüğümüz bu şiir anlayışında şair canlı, heyecan verici, imgesel, şaşırtan bir dil kullanır. Çalışmamızın amacı Özkan Mert'in şiirlerinin tematik bağlamda incelemektir. Özkan Mert, şiirlerinde kullandığı temaları birbiriyle bağlantılı olarak kullanmıştır. Bu bakımdan şairin şiirlerinde kullanılan temaların sıklık derecesine dikkat ederek incelememizi gerçekleştirdik. Şair, şiirlerinde en çok aşk, kadın ve erotizm, özgürlük, doğa ve kent gibi temalara yer vermiştir. Şiirlerinin temelindeki en önemli iki düşünce aşk ve özgürlüktür. Ayrıca şair, şiirlerinde gerçek hayatta yaşanmış olayları aktarmaya çalışır. Özkan Mert hakkında akademik düzeyde yapılmış herhangi bir çalışma yoktur. Dolayısıyla bu çalışma şair hakkında yapılan ilk çalışma olacaktır. Bu açıdan bir eksikliği tamamlamış olduğumuzu düşünmekteyiz. Ayrıca çalışmamızın gelecekte Özkan Mert ve 60 Kuşağı toplumcu gerçekçi şiir anlayışı hakkında yapılacak çalışmalara kaynak niteliğinde olacağını da düşünmekteyiz.

Özkan Mert is a poet affiliated with the realist-communist poetic movement of the 60's generation. He is one of the most important poets of the era. His early poems were influenced by the Second New Poetry. Later, the influence of realist-communist poetry can be seen in the poems he published. With the period of exile, the river poetry conception became influential in his poems. Özkan Mert referred to his own poetry understanding as river poetry. River poetry is a poetry that flows like a river, taking something from every place it passes through and leaving something behind. In this understanding of poetry, which we see as the evolved form of realist-communist poetry, the poet uses a vivid, exciting, symbolic, and surprising language. The purpose of our study is to examine Özkan Mert's poems in terms of their thematic context. Özkan Mert used the themes in his poems in a interconnected manner. For this reason, we carried out our study by paying attention to the frequency of the themes used in the poet's poems. The poet focused on themes such as love, woman and eroticism, freedom, nature, and city in his poems. The two most important thoughts underlying his poems are love and freedom. Additionally, the poet tries to convey real-life events in his poems. There is no academic study about Özkan Mert. Therefore, this study will be the first study about the poet. In this regard, we think that we have filled a gap. We also think that our study will be a resource for future studies on Özkan Mert and the realist-communist poetic movement of the 60's generation.
