1998 sonrası dönem MHP'nin parti politikaları ve din

Abstract

Bu çalışmada MHP'nin geçmişten günümüze geçirdiği tarihsel süreç ve 1998 sonrası dönem MHP'nin parti politikalarındaki din tutumunu araştırmak amaçlanmıştır. Öncelikle MHP'nin temel kavramlarına yer verilmiş daha sonra MHP'nin adını da oluşturan milliyetçiliğin doğuşu ve gelişimi anlatılmıştır. Milliyetçi bir parti olan MHP'nin milliyetçilik anlayışının nasıl doğduğu, geliştiği ve benimsendiği anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın konusu, MHP'nin 1998 sonrası parti politikalarında dine yaklaşımı ve kuruluşundan bugüne din anlayışının nasıl bir siyasi yol izlediğidir. MHP, Alparslan Türkeş'in "Türk-İslam sentezi" düşüncesi etrafında şekillendiği söylenebilir. Türkeş, 1969'da "Biz Tanrı Dağı kadar Türk, Hira Dağı kadar Müslümanız. Her iki felsefe bizim şiarımızdır" sözleriyle partinin ideolojisinin temellenmesinde önemli rol oynamıştır. Daha sonra partinin faaliyetlerini düzenleyen temel zihniyet bu doktrin çerçevesinde şekillenmiştir. 1997 yılında Türkeş'ten sonra 2. genel başkan seçilen Devlet Bahçeli'yle de MHP'nin muhafazakâr parti olma özelliğini koruduğu görülmüştür.

In this study, it is aimed to investigate the historical process of the MHP from the past to the present and the religious attitude of the MHP in the party policies of the post-1998 period. First of all, the basic concepts of the MHP were given, then the birth and development of nationalism, which also formed the name of the MHP, was explained. It has been tried to explain how the nationalist understanding of the MHP, which is a nationalist party, was born, developed and adopted. The subject of this study is the MHP's approach to religion in its party policies after 1998 and how its understanding of religion has followed a political path since its establishment. It can be said that MHP was shaped around Alparslan Türkeş's idea of "Turkish-Islamic synthesis". Türkeş said in 1969, "We are as Turkish as Mount God, and as Muslim as Mount Hira. He played an important role in the foundation of the party's ideology with his words "Both philosophies are our slogan". Later, the basic mentality that regulates the activities of the party was shaped within the framework of this doctrine. With Devlet Bahçeli, who was elected as the second chairman after Türkeş in 1997, it was seen that the MHP maintained its character of being a conservative party.
