| dc.description.abstract | In this article, the teacher education, and initial and continuing certification requirements applicable to all teachers in the State of Michigan of the United States are analyzed. Elementary science and mathematics teacher education programs at two state universities in Michigan are analyzed and compared using a descriptive case study method with respect to how they are preparing the teacher candidates for their future careers. The programs are studied in terms of graduation requirements, including the general education, major, minor and professional program requirements. | en_US |
