Söz konusu çalışmamız; tabiûn neslinin önde gelen isimlerinden biri olan Hasan el-Basrî'yi ele almakta olup onun hadis ilmindeki yerini tespit etmeyi hedeflemektedir. "Hasan el-Basrî ve Hadis İlmindeki Yeri" başlıklı bu tez çalışması giriş, iki bölüm ve sonuçtan oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde araştırmanın önem ve amacına değinilerek araştırmanın yöntem ve kaynaklarına değinilmiştir. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde öncelikle konunun tarihi arka planına ve Hasan el-Basrî'nin yaşadığı dönemde hadis ilminin konumu ile islamî ilimlerin durumuna değinildikten sonra, kısaca Hasan el-Basrî'nin hayatı aktarılmıştır. Çalışmamızın ikinci bölümünde ise Hasan el-Basrî'nin hadisçiliği ele alınmıştır. Nasıl bir râvi olduğu yanında hadisteki tesâhülü ve mürselleri hakkındaki eleştirilerin doğruluğu tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Our work in question; aims to cover Hasan el-Basri who is one of the leading figures of tabiun generation and to establish his place in the science of hadith. This thesis that titled as "Hasan el-Basrî and his place in the science of hadith" consists of an introduction, two chapters and a result. Introduction explains the importance and aim of the research and mentions methods and references of research. First chapter mentions historical background of the issue. And it explains the status of the science of hadith and the islamic studies in the time when our muhaddith lived. Second chapter covers Hasan el-Basri's life and his studies about the science of hadith. It explains how was he transfering hadiths and it establishes the accuracy of his criticism about wrongdoings in the science of hadith.
