Cazip bir yaşam merkezi haline gelen kentlerdeki sosyal hareketliliğin olumlu ve olumsuz sonuçları irdelenmiştir. Kent ve insan imgeleri resim sanatında sürekliliği olan bir konu olduğu için tarihsel süreç içerisinde kentin dinamikleri, insanlarla olan bağı ve önemi araştırılmıştır. 20.yy dan günümüze kentlerde görülen hızlı değişimin ve kentleşmenin toplumdaki insan ilişkilerine ve yaşam biçimlerine yansımaları sanat alanında çeşitli araştırmalara kapı açmıştır. Kentlerin hızlı değişimleri sonucu doğan çarpıklıklar ve toplumsal sorunlar resim sanatına yansımış, sanatçıları etkilemiştir. Bu çalışmada eleştirel tavırlara sahip birçok sanatçı tarafından yorumlanan kent ve insan figürü imgelerinin resim sanatı ve sanatçısı ile olan etkileşimleri değerlendirilmiştir. Bu konuda oluşturulmuş eserler estetik ve sanat kavramları çerçevesinde incelenmiştir. Son bölümde yer alan uygulama çalışmaları araştırma süresince yapılan gözlemlerin kurgulanmasıyla oluşturulmuştur. Çalışmalarda kullanılan dil kent ve insan imgeleri ile kurulan ilişkiyi yansıtmaktadır. Bu imgeler neşeli, melankolik, tiyatral tavırlarla işlenmiş ve kentin resim sanatındaki yerine vurgu yapılmıştır. Figüratif bir anlatımın hakim olduğu çalışmalarda figürler karikatürize edilerek şekillendirilmiştir.In my thesis work, the changes has been lived in the relations between people in the urban environment and its reflections to the Art as a result of the studies and observations based on the images of city and people has been handled. The positive and negative results of social movements in the cities which become an attractive life centers have been examined. Because of the fact that the city and people images are a continuous topic in the Art, the importance and the relation with the people and the dynamics of the city has been researched in the historical period. The reflections of the life styles and the relations between people in the society and the rapid changes which is seen in the cities since 20th century until today have leaded the way to the various researches in Art. The distortions and the social problems by the rapid changes in the cities has reflected to the Art and has impressed the artists. In this study, the interactions of the figure of the city and people images with the Art and the artists which has interfered by many artists that has critical point of view has been evaluated. The pieces has been made in this subject has been examined as part of esthetics and the concepts of art. The practice works in the last part has been created by fictionalising the observations throughout the study. The language that is used in the studies reflects the relation with the city and people. These images has been processed by cheerful, melancholic and theatric manners and it is emphasized the place of the city in Art.
