Psychiatric symptoms may be the direct result of PD, comorbid pathologies, or its pharmacotherapy. Pramipexole, as other dopamine agonists used in the treatment of PD, has a tendency to induce psychotic and manic symptoms due to central dopaminergic stimulation.
