There are 234 industrial plants belonging to various sectors in Canakkale. However, considerable amount of fertiliziers are used at the 338.000 hectars agricultural lands. In addition, in the settling areas there are solid waste and sewage problems threating environmental, human health and aquatic ecosystem.
