İkiz açık hipotezinden hareketle bütçe açığı ve cari işlemler açığına tasarruf yatırım dengesinin eklenmesiyle hipotez, üçüz açık hipotezi olarak belirtilmektedir. Üçüz açık hipotezi ekonominin genel dengesi içinde belirtilen üç dengenin de aynı anda açık vermesini ifade etmektedir. Bu çalışmada ilk olarak üçüz açık hipotezini oluşturan tasarruf-yatırım dengesi, bütçe dengesi ve cari işlemler dengesi kavramları teorik olarak ele alınmış daha sonra Türkiye ekonomisinde hipoteze ait 1980-2013 dönemi için kavramların tarihsel gelişim süreci incelenmiştir. Son kısımda ise üçüz açık hipotezinin Türkiye için geçerliliği uygulanan ekonometrik çalışma ile araştırılmış ve dengeler arasındaki ilişki analiz edilmiştir. Uygulama sonucunda Türkiye ekonomisinde belirtilen dönem için her üç denge arasında da ilişki bulunmuş ve üçüz açık hipotezi kabul edilmiştir. Starting from the twin deficit hypothesis budget deficit and current account deficit with the addition of the saving-investment balance, the hypothesis is stated as triple deficit hypothesis. Triple deficit hypothesis represents at the same time deficit of the three balance in the general equilibrium of the economy. In this study, first of all, constitutes the triple deficit hypothesis, saving-investment balance, budget balance and current account balance are described as theoretical consepts. After that Turkey's economy for the 1980-2013 period, in hypothesis historical development of the consept is examined. In the last section the validity of the triple deficit hypothesis was investigated by the applied econometric studies and then the relationship between balances were analyzed. As a result of the application, mutual correlation was found between all three balance for the specified period in Turkey's economy and triple deficit hypothesis was accepted.
