Over this same period, the classification of pulmonary hypertension has also been revised. The most important drugs in the therapy are calcium-channel antagonists, prostanoids, endothelin antagonists, and phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors. The therapeutic option changes according to the New York Heart Association classification in such patients.
