| dc.description.abstract | Antik çağ metinleri Miletopolis'in Mysia sınırları içinde Apolloniatis, Miletopolitis ve Daskylitis gölleri yakınlarında yer aldığını anlatır. Araştırmacılar Miletopolis kentinin lokalizasyonu için üç yerleşim yerini önermişlerdir: Mihaliç (Karacabey), Kirmasti (Mustafa Kemalpaşa) ve Mustafa Kemalpaşa yakınlarında yer alan Melde. 1975 yılında Bursa Arkeoloji Müzesi'nin gerçekleştirdiği kurtarma kazısı çalışmaları sayesinde Miletopolis'in lokalizasyon sorunu çözülmüştür. Miletopolis, Bursa, Mustafa Kemalpaşa İlçesi'ne 4 km mesafede Üç Kurnalı Mevkii / Melde Bayırı'nda yer almaktadır. Miletopolis Antik Kenti hakkında antik dönemlerden edebi metinlerin az olmasına rağmen kentin gelişimi hakkında bilgi verebilecek tek kaynak kente ait sikkeler, Miletopolis ve çevresinde bulunan adak veya mezar stelleridir. Miletopolis, kendi bronz sikkelerini darp eden bir polistir. Miletopolis kenti MÖ 4. yüzyıldan MS 3. yüzyıla değin kesintisiz sikke darbı gerçekleşmiştir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Ancient texts describe that Miletopolis located near the lakes Apolloniatis, Miletopolitis and Dascylitis, within the borders of Mysia. Researchers have proposed three settlements for the localization of the city Miletopolis: Mihalic (Karacabey), Kirmasti (Mustafa Kemalpaşa) ve Melde that placed near the Mustafa Kemalpaşa. Thanks to the recovery excavation works that were made by Bursa Archaeological Museum in 1975, Miletopolis's localization problem was solved. Miletopolis is located in Üç Kurnalı locality / Melde foothill that is in 4 km distance to Mustafa Kemalpaşa town, Bursa. Although there are a few literary texts from ancient, about the ancient city of Miletopolis , the only sources that can provide information about the city development are coins of the city votive or grave steles that are found in and around Miletopolis.
