Görsel üretimde yapay zekâ kullanımı ve Mıdjourney örneği

Yapay zekâ (YZ) tabanlı görsel üretim araçlarının sanatsal statüsü ve müellifliği, güncel sanat ve hukuk tartışmalarının merkezinde yer almaktadır. Kapalı kodlu üretken sistemlerin şeffaflık eksikliği, YZ çıktılarının hangi ölçütlerle 'sanat' olarak değerlendirileceği ve üretim niyetinin nasıl doğrulanabileceği sorularını gündeme getirmektedir. Bu çalışma, YZ ile üretilen görsellerin sanatsal değerlendirme süreçlerini, üretim parametreleri ile metin tabanlı yönlendirmeler arasındaki etkileşim bağlamında ele almaktadır. Araştırmada, araçlar arası değişkenliği en aza indirmek amacıyla Midjourney v7 platformuna odaklanılmış; İstanbul temalı ütopya-distopya sahneleri üzerinden istem mimarisi, parametre stratejileri ve karakter/stil tutarlılığı konuları sistematik biçimde değerlendirilmiştir. Metin üretimi ve analiz aşamalarında ChatGPT-4o ile GPT-5 Thinking modelleri denetimli bir şekilde yardımcı araç olarak kullanılmış, diğer görsel üreten araçlar (DALL·E vb.) karşılaştırmalı analize dâhil edilmeyip yalnızca belgeleme amacıyla çalışmaya dahil edilmiştir. Türkiye'de Resim Ana Sanat Dalı'nda bu kapsamda bir ilk olan bu sanatta yeterlik çalışması, Midjourney v7'ye özgü bir istem kılavuzu ve yöntemsel çerçeve sunarak, sonraki araştırmalara hem teorik hem de pratik düzeyde bir referans zemini oluşturmayı hedeflemektedir.

The artistic status and authorship of visuals generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based tools are at the center of contemporary art and legal debates. The lack of transparency in closed-source generative systems raises critical questions regarding the criteria for evaluating AI outputs as 'art' and how production intent can be verified. This study addresses the artistic evaluation processes of AI-generated visuals within the context of the interaction between production parameters and text-based directives. The research focuses on the Midjourney v7 platform to minimize inter-tool variability. Prompt architecture, parameter strategies, and character/style consistency were systematically evaluated using Istanbul-themed utopia-dystopia scenes. In the text generation and analysis phases, ChatGPT-4o and GPT-5 Thinking models were employed as auxiliary tools under supervision. Other visual generative tools (e.g., DALL·E) were not included in the comparative analysis but were incorporated into the study solely for documentation purposes. This Proficiency in Art (Ph.D.) thesis, a first of its kind in this scope within the Department of Painting in Turkey, aims to establish a reference ground for future research at both theoretical and practical levels by presenting a prompt guide and methodological framework specific to Midjourney v7.
