Comparisons of Offsprings From 8-inbred Line Half Diallel Cross of Maize Regarding Grain Yield and its Components

In this study 28 F-1 hybrids obtained by 8x8 half diallel crossing were used as the material. Experiments were conducted in randomized block design with 4 replicates. Grain yield and its components 1000-grain weight, ear height, ear length, number of rows in ear, number of grains in each row, plant hight, taaseling date were observed and biometrically evaluated. Significant differences were determined among single crosses in all characters in view.
