dc.description.abstractKüreselleşme sonucunda birbirinin kopyası haline gelen kentler, birbirine benzeyen yaşamlar, giyim tarzları, eğlenme stilleri, beslenme şekilleri hatta konuşurken kullanılan kelimeler bu liste uzayıp gitmekte... Alternatif kent yaklaşımlarıyla küreselleşmenin olumsuz sonuçlarından uzaklaşarak çalışılan yaklaşımlardan biri olan yavaş şehir yerleşimlerin yerel özelliklerini koruma amacıyla başlatılan öncü bir harekettir. Bu çalışma, Bolu ilinin ilçesi olan Mudurnu'nun yavaş şehirler birliğine üyelik süreci öncesi ve sonrasına dair yerel özelliklerini hangi ölçüde koruduğunu ortaya çıkarmak amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu süreçte Yavaş Şehir Birliği (Sakin Şehir Birliği, Cittaslow Birliği)'ne katılan Mudurnu, birliğin kriterleri çerçevesinde incelenerek saha çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Ardından ilçede birliğe dahil olduktan sonra meydana gelen değişimlerin ortaya konulması için ilçe halkından 20 kişiyle görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiş ve görüşmeler esnasında katılımcılara 21 adet soru sorulmuştur. Sorulara verilen cevaplarla yavaş şehirlerin Mudurnu gibi köklü kentlerde yerel özelliklerin sürdürülmesini olumlu yönde etkilediği ve bu olumlu etkilerin pratikte de gözlemlendiği görülürken eksik yönleri çalışma kapsamında tespit edilmiştir. Çalışma yerel özelliklerini sürdürmek isteyen küçük yerleşim birimleri için yol gösterici öneriler sunmaktadır.
dc.description.abstractCities that have become copies of each other as a result of globalization, lives that are similar to each other, clothing styles, entertainment styles, nutrition styles, even the words used when speaking... this list goes on and on. Slow city, which is one of the approaches to move away from the negative consequences of globalization with alternative city approaches, is a pioneering movement initiated to preserve the local characteristics of settlements.This study was carried out to reveal to what extent Mudurnu, a district of Bolu province, preserved its local characteristics before and after the membership process. In this context, Mudurnu, which joined the Slow City Union (Slow City Union, Cittaslow Union), was examined within the framework of the criteria of the union and field studies were carried out. Then, in order to reveal the changes that occurred after joining the union in the district, interviews were held with 20 people selected by simple random sampling, and 21 questions were asked to each person during the interviews. With the answers given to the questions, it was seen that slow cities positively affected the maintenance of local characteristics in well-established cities such as Mudurnu, and while these positive effects were observed in practice, their shortcomings were also identified within the scope of the study.
