dc.description.abstract?Aeneas Efsanesi?nin Roma ve Troia İlişkilerine Yansıması? adlı tez çalışmamda, Romalıların kökenlerini, Troas Bölgesi?nde yer alan İlion kentine dayandırma istekleri ve bu konudaki çalışmaları ele alınmıştır. Romalılar, İlion kökeninden geldiklerini Troialı kahraman Aeneas?ı ataları olarak göstererek kabul ettirmeye çalışmışlardır. Romalılar, Troialı kahraman Aeneas?ın Troia Savaşı?ndan sonra beraberindeki Troialılar ile birlikte kentten ayrıldığını ve uzun süren yolculuklarından sonra Latium?a geldiğini ve orada bir kent kurduğunu benimsemişlerdir. Aeneas?ı ataları, Troia?yı ise atalarının kenti olarak görmeleri, Romalıların Asya?ya istilacı olarak değil de atalarının yurdu olarak yerleştiklerini gösterme amacı taşımıştır. Böylece kendilerinin Asya?ya müdahalelerini meşrulaştırmışlar ve İlion kentine ayrıcalıklı davranmayı ataları için bir saygı belirtisi olarak görmüşlerdir. Özellikle Julius-Claudius ailesi tarafından benimsenen Troia bağı, onlardan sonra gelen bazı imparatorlar tarafından da kabul edilmiş ve kentte inşa faaliyetleri hızlandırılmıştır. Kentin Roma?nın başkenti yapılması dahi düşünülmüştür.
dc.description.abstractIn this study named ?The Reflection of the Legend of Aeneas in the Relationship of Rome and Troy? the Romans? wish to associate their origins to the city İlion in the Troas Region is discussed. The Romans stated that they were from Ilium by showing the hero Aeneas from Troy as their ancestor. The Romans internalized the reality that Aeneas left the city with Trojans after the battle of Troy and they arrived to Latium after a long journey for setting up a new city there. The Romans? regarding Aeneas as their ancestor and Troy as their homeland was for justifying themselves not as an invader but as their own region. Therefore, they legalized their interference with happenings in Asia and they considered their involvement to the city of Ilium as a sign of respect to their forefathers. Especially, the contacts with Troy seized by the Julius-Claudius Family was accepted by different other emperors and it facilitated the construction in the city. They even had the idea to turn the city into a capital city of Rome.
