dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to examine the effects of the constructivist learning theory new primary education curriculum applications on the self-efficacy levels of 4th and 5th grade students in primary education upon various variables. The research was undertaken in accordance with the monitoring approach, which is one of the scanning models. The participant group for the research comprised 526 students (274 male and 252 female). The research used the Self-Efficacy Scale for Children, developed by Bandura (1990) and adapted into Turkish by cetin (2007), its 9 sub-sections, and a personal information form developed by the researcher. The research found that the new primary educational curricula applications increased students' self-efficacy levels. Findings also indicated that the effects of the new primary education curriculum applications on the self-efficacy levels of students were not significantly different according to the variables of gender, school type, and paternal or maternal educational status.
