Ömer Seyfettin hikayelerine eğitim olgusu

Ömer Seyfettin Hikâyelerinde Eğitim Olgusu Ömer Seyfettin, edebiyatımızın en fazla okunan eserlerini vermiş bir hikâyecimizdir. Eserleri dönemin çalkantılı yıllarının bir yansımasıdır. İlk defa hikâye yazarlığı onunla birlikte meslek ve tür haline gelmiştir. Balkan ve Birinci Dünya Savaşında bizzat mücadele eden ve mağlubiyetlerin acısını yüreğinde hisseden hikâyeci, kurtuluşun ancak milli ve manevi duyarlılıklara sahip bir nesil ile mümkün olacağına inanmıştır. Bu sebeple eserlerinde yitirilen kültürel değerlere dikkat çekmiştir. Eserlerinde çocuk kahramanları konuşturarak milli şuuru uyandırmayı hedeflemiştir. Ayrıca Osmanlı tarihinin kahramanlık hikâyelerinden yola çıkarak milletin güven duygusunu artırmayı amaç edinmiştir. Bunun yanında toplumdaki yanlış batılılaşmayı ve hurafeleri de en sert biçimde hicvetmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Ömer Seyfettin'in hikâyelerinde eğitime bakış açısı ortaya konmuştur. Education Phenomenon in Ömer Seyfettin's Stories Ömer Seyfettin is a story writer who wrote the most-read works of our literature. His works are the reflection of the turbulent years of his time. Story writing became a profession, and story became a literary genre for the first time with him. Ömer Seyfettin, who fought both in Balkan Wars and The First World War, felt the deep sorrow of defeat in his heart, and he believed that salvation would only be possible with a generation having strong national and moral values. Because of this, in his works he drew attention to improprieties and sometimes used a critical style. When we look at the themes he handles in his works, we see that he aims to awake the national conscience and educate children by using child heroes in his stories. He also aims to enhance self-confidence of the nation by making use of the heroic stories of the Ottoman history. Besides, he harshly criticized the improper westernization and superstitions among the nation. In this study, it ıs dıscussed in the stories of Ömer Seyfettin's educational phenomenon.
