dc.description.abstractGünümüzde turizme katılan kişi sayısının artması ve bu doğrultuda turist istek ve ihtiyaçlarında görülen değişiklikler gibi nedenlerden dolayı turizm çeşitlendirmesi ve alternatif turizm faaliyetleri önem kazanmaya başlamıştır. Bununla yanında; rekabet avantajı sağlaması, sürdürülebilirliği sağlaması, turizm sezonunu uzatması ve mevsimlere yayması gibi üstünlükleri de alternatif turizm çeşitlerine olan ilgiyi arttırmaktadır. Alternatif turizm çeşitlerinden biri olan festivaller de gerçekleştirildiği destinasyondaki turist sayısını arttırmakta, destinasyonun tanıtımına katkıda bulunmakta ve destinasyonun kalkınmasında önemli rol oynamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Yerel Tatlar Festivali?nin Bozcaada?ya etkileri incelenmiş, yerel halkın ve festivale katılan turistlerin demografik özellikleri, seyahat amaçları, Yerel Tatlar Festivali?ne ilişkin algıları değerlendirilerek festivalin daha etkin gerçekleştirilebilmesi için bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Araştırma sonuçları Yerel Tatlar Festivali?nin Bozcaada?nın tanıtımına olumlu etkileri olduğunu ve bölgede yaşayan yerel halka ekonomik, sosyo-kültürel ve çevresel açılardan birçok etkisi olduğunu göstermektedir. Bununla birlikte festivalle ilgili yapılan tanıtım faaliyetlerinin ve festival etkinliklerinin yetersiz olduğu sonuçlarına da ulaşılmıştır.
dc.description.abstractNowadays, due to the increase of people involving in tourism and, to the changes in touristic wills and demands,verification of tourism and alternative tourism activities started to become important in recent time. Beside this, as alternative tourism types provide competitive advantage, sustainability, enlarging tourism season and making it all season activity attract attention to alternative tourism types. Festivals, one of the alternative tourism type, rise tourist number (number of tourist) at a given destination, help promoting destination and play important role in developing (growing) the destination. In this study, the effects of Local Flavors Festival on Bozcaada was investigated by analysing demography, travelling goal, perception about Local Flavors Festival and recommendation was made to organize this festival effectiveliy. The finding of this study show that this festival has positive effects on the promotion of Bozcaada and also has several effects on public in terms of economical, socio-cultural and environmental. However, positive effects, it was found that promoting activities and festival events were insufficient.
