Özet
There is a large amount of oily waste in the wastewater used in the metal industry. Oily wastewater is one of the most dangerous pollutants. New treatment methods are very expensive and ineffective. Nowadays, filtration or separation processes are useful for oily wastewater treatment. In this paper, microfiltration with tubular ceramic membrane from ?-alumina (?-Al2O3) powder was synthesized for oily wastewater treatment. Cross flow velocity (CFV) and transmembrane pressure (TMP) were predicted to have an effect on the permeate flux over the working system, while CFV did not cause a noticeable improvement over the working system. The proposed operating conditions were the experimental set with TMP of 4 bar, CFV of 1 m/s and temperature of 37.5 °C. According to the results, it is proposed to replace this system with conventional wastewater treatment methods.
