Investigation of Preservice Preschool Education Students’ Beliefs in the Environmental Education in Preschool Education

This paper aims to examine the views of the students of the Child Development Program on the integration of preschool education and environmental education. The sample of the research is 128 Associate Degree students studying in the Child Development Program of a university in the Central Anatolia Region and volunteering to participate in the study. The research data were collected with “the Survey of Beliefs about the Integration of Environmental Education with Preschool Education (Güner-Alpaslan, Olgan, & Çakıroğlu, 2017)”. According to the results of the research, no significant difference has been found in the beliefs of students of Child Development Program regarding the integration of environmental education with preschool education when the scale and subscales were considered as a whole and when the variables such as gender, age, reading books on environment, viewing documentaries on environment are considered. However, their beliefs were found to have significantly differed according the variables of environmental education and taking course [TR] Bu araştırmanın amacı Çocuk Gelişimi Programı öğrencilerinin okul öncesi eğitim ile çevre eğitiminin bütünleştirilmesine yönelik görüşlerinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın örneklemi İç Anadolu Bölgesinde yer alan bir üniversitenin Çocuk Gelişimi Programında öğrenim gören ve gönüllü olan 128 Ön Lisans öğrencisidir. Araştırmanın verileri “Çevre Eğitiminin Okulöncesi Eğitimle Bütünleştirilmesine Yönelik İnançlar Anketi (Güner-Alpaslan, Olgan ve Çakıroğlu, 2017)” ile elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre, Çocuk Gelişimi Programı öğrencilerinin Çevre Eğitiminin Okulöncesi Eğitimle Bütünleştirilmesine Yönelik İnançlar Anketinin genelinde ve alt boyutlarında cinsiyet, yaş, çevre ile ilgili kitap okuma ve çevre ile ilgili belgesel izleme değişkenlerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamakta, çevre eğitimi dersi alma değişkenine göre ise anlamlı bir farklılık görülmektedir.
