Troas bölgesi buluntusu ticari amphoralar: Tipolojik ve fonksiyonel bir analiz

Troas Bölgesi, Antik Dönem deniz ticareti rotaları üstünde özel bir konumdadır. Bölge buluntusu ticari amphoraların bütünlüklü olarak ele alındığı bu tez sayesinde, Antik Dönem ekonomisi üzerine bilgiye ulaşmak ve bu konudaki tartışmalara katkı sağlayacak veriyi ortaya koymak hedeflenmiştir. Tez kapsamında değerlendirilen toplam buluntu sayısı 609'dur. Bu buluntuların bir kısmı doğrudan incelenmiş ve belgelenmiştir. Bu örnekler tezde bir katalog olarak da sunulmuştur. Diğer örnekler ise Troas Bölgesi buluntularını içeren yayınlar veya diğer bilimsel çalışmalardan derlenmiştir. Farklı kaynaklardan elde edilen bilgi, standart hale getirilerek tablolarda sunulmuş ve mümkün olduğunca nicel yöntemlerle değerlendirilmiştir. Amphoraların tipolojik, kronolojik, kökensel ve fonksiyonel özellikleri ile buluntu yerleri değerlendirmeye alınmış temel konulardır. Haklarında yeterli bilgiye ulaşılan 310 örnek üzerinde karşılaştırmalı tipolojik ve fonksiyonel bir analiz gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma ile Troas Bölgesi buluntusu ticari amphoralar hakkında doğru ve kolay anlaşılır bir genel görünüş sunulması amaçlanmıştır.

The Troad (Troas) has a special position on the ancient maritime trade routes. This thesis is a comprehensive study which deals with the commercial amphorae from the region. It aims to reach information about the ancient economy and to offer some data that will contribute to the discussions on the subject. The total number of finds evaluated is 609. Some of these finds were directly examined and documented. These are also presented as a catalogue in the thesis. Other examples were compiled from publications or other scientific studies involving the finds of the Troas. The information obtained from different sources was standardized and presented in the tables and it was evaluated as quantitatively as possible. The find spots, the origins and the typological, chronological and functional characteristics of the amphorae are the main subjects that were evaluated. A comparative typological and functional analysis was conducted on the 310 examples which we have sufficient information. The main objective of the study is to provide an accurate and easy-to-understand overview about the commercial amphorae from the Troas.
