Managers’ gender role perceptions could affect various organizational processes and their success like alternative work arrangements, leave policies etc. The research which is carried on top level managers in some public institutions in Turkey showed that both female and main managers perceive similar gender roles about family. Thus, according to both females and males, family roles are for women. There is not a classical gender view about work role perceptions. Classical family-friendly arrangements are evaluated like flexitime, childcare, mother leaves positive; but there is not a similar situation for non-classical alternative work arrangements like compressed workweeks, telecommunication and father leaves.
